About Moadim

Moadim is an open-source loop engine for AI agents that runs agents like Claude, Codex, Hermes, or Pi on a schedule, over MCP and REST.

Moadim is an open-source loop engine designed for AI agents. It allows users to define a 'loop' consisting of a prompt, a schedule, and an AI agent (such as Claude, Codex, Hermes, NanoClaw, or Pi). This engine then runs the specified agent against a repository on every scheduled tick, or queues a NanoClaw task, all within an isolated workbench equipped with a watchdog for each run.

The software operates locally, utilizing its own portable in-process scheduler, eliminating the need for a cloud service or external cron daemon. It can be installed to register a launchd (macOS) or systemd (Linux) service, ensuring the daemon persists across logins and reboots. Each agent run is isolated in a fresh workbench, preventing state leakage between runs, and a watchdog terminates hung processes.

Moadim provides multiple interfaces for interaction: every loop functions as an MCP tool and a documented HTTP endpoint, complete with an OpenAPI schema and Swagger UI baked into the daemon. It also includes a web UI and an iCal feed. The project is open-source under the MIT license, free to use, modify, and self-host, with no paid tiers or account creation required.
