It allows users to define specific topics relevant to their brand, such as "best CRM for startups" or "email tools for agencies." The platform then automatically generates variations of these topics into natural prompts, simulating real questions users ask AI assistants.
The tool measures how often a company is mentioned by AI models, providing metrics like brand visibility, share of voice, prominence, and sentiment. It also enables benchmarking against competitors, showing how often rival brands are recommended and their share of voice. All data is presented in a rich visibility report, allowing AEO/GEO teams to track trends over time.
Lettertrace is designed for self-hosting and offers a high degree of control. Users bring their own API keys for models like Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google, which are encrypted at rest and remain within their infrastructure. The platform is MIT licensed, allowing users to inspect, extend, and run it on their own infrastructure, with data stored in their own Supabase instance to prevent vendor lock-in.
